Description
The Bond Arms Roughneck is a compact, double-barrel, single-action derringer-style handgun chambered in .45 ACP. It’s part of Bond Arms’ Rough Series, which uses the same strong stainless-steel frame and barrels as the company’s traditional derringers but with a more cost-efficient bead-blasted finish rather than high polish.
Key Features
- Double-barrel design: Fires two .45 ACP rounds in succession from an over-under barrel arrangement.
- Stainless steel construction: Both the frame and barrels are made from durable stainless steel to withstand modern centerfire cartridges.
- Single-action operation: The hammer must be cocked manually before each shot.
- Cross-bolt safety & rebounding hammer: Provides an added layer of safety and modern lockwork compared with older derringer designs.
- Fixed sights & black grips: Simple, rugged sights and rubber grips for a basic yet functional shooting experience.
- Removable trigger guard: Some models include a removable trigger guard for a more traditional derringer look.
- Interchangeable barrels: Bond Arms derringers use a modular system where barrels in other calibers (e.g., 9 mm, .357 Mag) can be swapped to the same frame without gunsmithing.
Use & Character
The Roughneck .45 ACP is extremely compact and discreet, intended mainly for very close-range defensive use or as a novelty “pocket cannon” backup rather than as a precision firearm. Because of the short barrels and the power of the .45 ACP cartridge, recoil can be substantial, and accuracy is limited beyond typical self-defense distances.
Very Good Condition, Great Conceal Weapon for Self Defense. Can Carry in pants pocket and nobody would be aware.
